Hurting
Some pain lingers longer than you expected. You thought you would be past this by now. You assumed time would soften it more quickly. Instead, it still shows up, sometimes when you least expect it. That can be discouraging. But healing rarely moves in straight lines. Hurt often fades unevenly. Some days feel lighter, others heavier, without much warning. God understands that rhythm. He is not frustrated with the pace of your healing. He is not measuring your progress the way people sometimes do. You don’t need to be “over it” yet. You don’t need to force closure. Pain doesn’t respond well to pressure. For now, let yourself be where you are. God is not asking you to move faster. He is present with you, patient and attentive. This moment doesn’t require strength. It only requires honesty.
