Discouraged

It makes sense that you feel this way. Discouragement usually doesn’t come from apathy. It comes from effort. From showing up again and again. From hoping something would change by now and realizing it hasn’t, at least not in the way you expected. That wears a person down. This feeling doesn’t mean you’ve failed. It often means you’ve been carrying more than anyone realizes. You’ve kept moving, kept trying, kept holding things together while quietly wondering how long you can keep doing that. A lot of people live right here. They don’t talk about it much. They just move through their days with a heaviness they can’t fully explain. If that sounds familiar, you’re not weak. You’re tired. Jesus paid attention to people in this space. Not to hurry them forward or correct their emotions, but to meet them where they were. He didn’t demand strength from people who were already worn thin. He offered rest first. You don’t need to talk yourself into feeling better right now. You don’t need answers. You don’t need a plan. For this moment, it’s enough to stop pushing and let yourself breathe. God is not distant from this place. He is here, steady and present, even now. You don’t have to carry this alone.
